Restrictions in the connective tissue (Fascia) respond better to gentle, sustained pressure and are more likely to release. we often tell ourselves that it has to be forceful or painful pressure with tools such as lacross balls to get the tightness or pain in our body to disapate. When we find those knots under our finger tips, it’s easy to conclude, “If it’s that tight, surely it needs to be dug into!” But on the cellular level, the bonds that tie muscles into knots hold all the more tightly when exposed to aggressive pressures.
Following myofascial release principles as taught by John F. Barnes is essential to ensure a genuine, therapeutic experience using the 4″ myofascial release ball for self-treatment.
I am excited to share with you how to properly use myofascial release as a self-treatment tool to aid in your pain relief journey.
This class does require you to lay on the floor. We will be using 4″therapy balls to treat our spines from the neck all the way to the sacrum.
